MASTERS STALLION 2011
Magnus Romeo is the offspring of an extraordinary mating. He is an atheltic performance horse, high in blood, with the genes of excellent ancestors from Argentina, France and Germany. His overview at the jump with brilliant technique and bascule as well as his outstanding jumping ability helped him to the title vice champion at the Argentine stallion performance test at the age of 3, Argentine vice champion at the age of 6 and national champion of Argentina at the age of 7. With a double clear round at his first Nations Cup in Wellington, the just 8-year-old stallion showed world-class performance. In the season 2011, the dark brown succeeded in breaking through to the world elite of show jumping. Under his current rider Hans-Dieter Dreher, Magnus Romeo kept galloping again and again into top rankings at the most prestigious horse shows of the world: Aachen (2nd NRW-Prize), Hickstead (5th GP), Donaueschingen (3rd GP), Mannheim, Wiesbaden and Rio de Janeiro to mention only a few. They had their first great victory in the Grand Prix of Pioltello, followed by the 7th place at the Germany Championship (winner of the final competition). The extraordinary season 2011 was completed by an excellent 4th place at the World Cup in Mechelen. In only 9 months, Magnus Romeo has won over Euro 100.000. Due to his outstanding performances, the stallion owners of Southern Germany awarded Magnus Romeo Masters Stallion 2011. Sire: The French stallion Royal Feu is a son of Lord Gordon by the stallion of the century, Almé. Worth mentioning is also Lord Gordon's dam Taviane, which was one of the most successful sports mares in France in the '70s. Despite his early death after only one season of breeding, Lord Gordon left some excellent progeny, e.g. Rolling Pierre, and was second best sire after Grand Veneur. Royal Feu's dam Neurine was sired by the best thoroughbred sire of France, Laudanum xx. The offspring of Royal Feu, such as Diabolo d'Ysieux, winner of the Grand Prix in Moscow, or the
internationally successful Diam's III, ridden by Joe Fargis (USA), represent their sire's performance genes on the largest international show grounds. Dam: Soy Happy by Hans Anders Z out of a Weltgotthard mare is an Argentine breed and carries the most popular bloodlines of Germany. Her sire Hans Anders Z descends from a successful jumping line from the dam as well as the sire side. It's rare to find a more assured pedigree than the one of his dam Calipa Z, a daughter of the most successful sports mare in the world, Ratina z, who won 2x Olympic team gold, Olympic individual silver, World Champion team gold, 2x European Champion team gold, European Champion individual silver, World Cup Final gold and winner of several of the most important Grand Prix of the world. Already the granddam and bloodline mare Heureka Z won the Grand Prix in Aachen in 1970. From the successful mating with Almé, Ramiro Cor de la Bryère and Acord II, descended the impressive Hans Anders Z, who made his mark in high level jumping as well as in the Argentine and Zangersheide breed. Breeder: Patricia Peralta Ramos, Argentina
Owner: Gestüt Grenzland & Fam. Brändlin & Paul Bücheler, CH
Licensed for Southern German associations, Cheval Suisse, ZVCH (EDB)
Stud Fee: Euro 500 and Euro 700, if the mare is certified in foal by October 1st.
Magnus Romeo's offspring in Argentina show clearly that he is a dominate sire. They are very typey and show excellent technique and scope at the jump. We are convinced that the genes
of Magnus Romeo will receive great interest in Europe as well and are looking forward to his first crop of foals.
